Um die Leute zur Probe und anschließend zum Kauf von angeblicher Sicherheitssoftware zu bewegen, verschickt GMX an seine Freemail-Nutzer regelmäßig eine als „GMX Magazin“ getarnte Spammail.

Und in der Ausgabe 26/2014 der GMX-Spam-Mail heißt es:

Was ist ein Botnet? Ein Botnet sind mehrere, virtuell verbundene Rechner, die auf Ihrem PC ein Eigenleben entwickeln – und Sie wissen von nichts!

Das ist so grotesk falsch, dass ich GMX eine Antwort dazu geschrieben habe:

Nein, das ist definitiv keine Definition für ein Botnet. Wikipedia weiß Rat:

Und was ist passiert? Eine automatische 08/15-Antwort, in der mir mitgeteilt wird, dass ich mich mit meinem Anliegen erneut an den zuständigen Ansprechpartner wenden soll.

Nö, fickt euch. Wenn euch mein Input wirklich interessieren würde, würdet ihr euren Spam nicht von einer Adresse senden, die eingehende Mails direkt in den Müll schmeißt. So steht das jetzt halt im Internet und jeder kann lesen was ihr für niveaulose Spammails verschickt.

tl;dr: Wer sein KiStAM wissen möchte, muss eine Anfrage nach § 19 BDSG beim BZSt stellen.

Vor einigen Tagen habe ich Post von meiner Bank erhalten mit dem Hinweis auf die Möglichkeit einen Sperrvermerk für die Übermittlung des Kirchensteuerabzugsmerkmals (KiStAM) an die Bank beim Bundeszentralamt für Steuern (BZSt) zu hinterlegen.

Wenn ich das alles richtig verstehe, dann weiß das BZSt an welche Kirche für mich Kirchensteuer abgeführt werden muss. Das heißt auch, dass sie wissen, ob Kirchensteuer überhaupt abgeführt werden muss. Wer also dachte, dass nach dem Ende des Dritten Reiches von einer zentralen Erfassung und Speicherung des Glaubens Abstand genommen wird, der hat sich getäuscht.¹

Ich habe mich dann aber gefragt, woher das BZSt denn weiß, ob und, wenn ja, an welche Kirche Kirchensteuer für mich abgeführt werden soll. Ebenfalls interessant ist auch die Frage, was da genau gespeichert ist. Leider gibt es aber auf der Seite des BZSt nur Hinweise auf den Sperrvermerk und Erklärungen zum KiStAM allgemein. Einen Hinweis darauf wie ich mein KiStAM erfragen kann, konnte ich nicht finden. Selbst meine bevorzugt genutzte Suchmaschine wusste keine Antwort darauf.

Also habe ich eine Anfrage über die entsprechende Funktion auf der Seite des BZSt gestellt. Dies war am 8. Juni 2014, also Pfingstsonntag. Und zu meiner Überraschung erhielt ich bereits am 10. Juni 2014 eine Antwort. Und noch mehr überrascht war ich, als ich feststellen musste, dass die Antwort sogar auch meine Fragen beantwortet hat!

Und damit diese Informationen suchmaschinenauffindbar sind, schreibe ich das hier nochmal auf:

• Kirchensteuerpflicht (in den Augen des BZSt) ergibt sich aus der erweiterten Datenbank zur steuerlichen Identifikationsnummer (IdNr), also dem, was in der Datenbank beim BZSt gespeichert ist
• Basis dieser Daten sind Meldedaten aus dem Jahr 2008 zur erstmaligen Zuteilung der IdNr
• Änderungen an diesen Daten erhält das BZSt in der Regel zeitnah elektronisch (vermutlich beim Ummelden?)
• Auskunft über die gespeicherten Daten, das beinhaltet das KiStAM, gibt es auf Basis des § 19 des Bundesdatenschutzgesetzes (BDSG)
• Auskünfte gibt es nur auf schriftlichen Antrag
• Auskünfte sind kostenlos
• Antrag auf Auskunft muss folgende Punkte beinhalten:
  • Vorname und Name
  • Anschrift
  • Geburtsdatum
  • IdNr
  • Unterschrift
• Antrag muss geschickt werden an:
  • Bundeszentralamt für Steuern
  • Referat St II 3
  • DGZ-Ring 12
  • 11055 Berlin

Wer schon immer mal sagen wollte, dass er Post nach Berlin schickt, aber keine Freunde oder Verwandten in Berlin hat, denen er Post schicken kann, hat die Möglichkeit ans BZSt zu schreiben ;)

¹ Oder ich habe da irgendetwas ganz falsch verstanden.

I am a hacker, enter my world…

Mine is a world that begins with school… I’m smarter than most of the other kids, this crap they teach us bores me…

Damn underachiever. They’re all alike.

I’m in junior high or high school. I’ve listened to teachers explain for the fifteenth time how to reduce a fraction. I understand it. “No, Ms. Smith, I didn’t show my work. I did it in my head…”

Damn kid. Probably copied it. They’re all alike.

I made a discovery today. I found a computer. Wait a second, this is cool. It does what I want it to. If it makes a mistake, it’s because I screwed it up. Not because it doesn’t like me… Or feels threatened by me.. Or thinks I’m a smart ass.. Or doesn’t like teaching and shouldn’t be here…

Damn kid. All he does is play games. They’re all alike.

And then it happened… a door opened to a world… rushing through the phone line like heroin through an addict’s veins, an electronic pulse is sent out, a refuge from the day-to-day incompetencies is sought… a board is found. “This is it… this is where I belong…” I know everyone here… even if I’ve never met them, never talked to them, may never hear from them again… I know you all…

Damn kid. Tying up the phone line again. They’re all alike…

You bet your ass we’re all alike… we’ve been spoon-fed baby food at school when we hungered for steak… the bits of meat that you did let slip through were pre-chewed and tasteless. We’ve been dominated by sadists, or ignored by the apathetic. The few that had something to teach found us willing pupils, but those few are like drops of water in the desert.

This is our world now… the world of the electron and the switch, the beauty of the baud. We make use of a service already existing without paying for what could be dirt-cheap if it wasn’t run by profiteering gluttons, and you call us criminals. We explore… and you call us criminals. We seek after knowledge… and you call us criminals. We exist without skin color, without nationality, without religious bias… and you call us criminals. You build atomic bombs, you wage wars, you murder, cheat, and lie to us and try to make us believe it’s for our own good, yet we’re the criminals.

Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive me for.
